Missiles Over Moscow “Right Before Midnight”
Dope chill hop vibes on this one. Jazzy and soulful, it’s an easy listen and left us wanting to hear more. Shouts to our friends at Stereofox.com.

Pablo Zuazo “Macaco Nu Jazz”
From the opening notes, I knew I was going to dig this. Really dope rhodes piano on this one that sets the mood just right. Looking forward to hearing Pablo’s next track.

C.O.W. “$hanghai Mone¥ EP”
This was unexpected. A pretty captivating listen with all the twists and turns. They produce and play mostly instrumental electronic music, which spans from obscure jazz interludes to electrified club beats. It’s tough to nail down an apples to apples comparison but it’s somewhere in between Flying Lotus and Hudson Mohawke.

VIOLENTLYILL “Clairvoyance (feat. DJ Koncept)”
This is dope. Video is awesome too. Ambient chilled out dreamy melodic hip-hop. DJ Koncept features on the cuts.

Product_90 “Get Tha Butta”
Not much better than hearing an impressive beat from a producer you’ve never heard of. Really dig how this one continues to build. Keeps the track moving.

Thelonious Martin “They Don’t Know (instrumental)”
Coalmine Records sends over an instrumental from the Chicago-based producer, Thelonious Martin. You may recognize the familiar sample.

Aurka “Lotus”
Aurka redeems a day of mediocre submissions with this gem. Lotus features smooth instrumentation and great arc on this one. Reminds me a bit of Bonobo.

Mild Surprise “Outdoors No More”
Nice lo-fi instrumental hip-hop track here. Digging the sample here.

Michum “Ran Away”
German producer sends a mellowed out soulful instrumental “Ran Away”. The vocal sample draws out fond old memories of good times. A nice track to relax to.

J Poetic “Xtian”
Lo fi hip-hop instrumental created to celebrate the memory of the recent passing of a youth in Portland by the name of Christian Chaparro.

Balance Both (Imperial Remix instrumental)
Imperial drops a dope remix for this Abdominal single featuring Chali 2na of Jurassic 5.

DJ Efechto “Gimme a Minute”

age — GUM: Generally Unacceptable Members (of Society) (Beat Tape) (AUDIO).

Adrian Mendoza (age) says: I dedicate this to those I grew up with skateboarding and doing music with. We did what we did; regardless of what people thought and whatever preconceived notions that they had of us. We simply were young, and trying to figure it out, and doing what we loved. I know that we all live in different places, in different lands, and doing different things (be it raising a family, working, school, and so on). I just wanted to say thank you all and those who’ve been through it with us; or, went through well, and without getting into too much trouble. This release is for you!

Recorded in real time, individually, on a White Normal Bias Type 1 cassettes. 11 tracks strong and roughly 13 minutes long. It dates from 1996 to present.
