Word is Bond Rap Radio had a special extended edition of the show last week. We took advantage of the fact that the two shows before us didn’t make it to the station. So, we were live for 5 hours.
This is the first half of the live show and features some old school classics that you may not know but will surely recognize. Can you identify some songs that have sampled those tunes?
We also have in-depth discussion with Jesse Dangerously. He tells some great stories and schools us on Canadian hip-hop history.
If you enjoy this episode, let your friends know with a social media post. It is a quick way to support the show.
Thanks for listening!

I was unaware of the Australian hip-hop duo until I played the song live on the air. What I heard impressed me. I thanked Lee for his request and his good taste in music.
After I podcasted the episode, Grey Yard hit me up to thank me for featuring their music on the show. So they went from request to guest in one week.
It was great talking to them and playing more of their music. Plus, I spun two hours of great live radio too.

Sareem Poems is a hip-hop veteran with over 20 years in the game. From his group, LA Symphony, to his work with various producers, to his solo tracks, he has been putting in work for a long time now.
It was a honour being able to chat with him this week live on the radio. We played world premiere joints from his forthcoming album “Mind Over Matter,” which is produced entirely by Ess Be. And we have a great discussion about hip-hop, youth outreach work, swearing in songs, the n-word, and much more.
Press play, download it and take it with you, and bump this loud. Enjoy!

Traffimatics loves coming on Word is Bond Rap Radio. It gives him the opportunity to showcase his freestyle skills and kick some rhymes live over the airwaves. This past Tuesday, he was even taken requests to perform some of his music live, and to include specific words into his freestyles. It was a lot of fun.
And of course, DJ Chase March spun two hours of great hip-hop music as well.
