SUNDERWORLD delivers his brand of surreal RnB vibes on "Pseudodevotion" • Word Is Bond

Rising Orlando-based singer/songwriter SUNDERWORLD delivers his new single “Pseudodevotion” off his upcoming “Orlando/Llorando Vol. 2” EP. For the production, he enlists VICI who helps craft a dark, moody soundscape for the singer to deliver his smooth melodies and unhindered, offbeat style of writing. The single is a ballad about hiding your affection and not giving direct signals to your partner. It’s a weird kind of science as the artists add that “...Sometimes expressing love to a partner pushes them away...”

Jenny Kwon & G Zoom craft a soothing single titled "Explain Myself" • Word Is Bond

The duo of singer Jenny Kwon and producer G Zoom team up for their new collaborative single titled “Explain Myself”. The bright, vibrant record is a smooth blend of many genres ranging from Hip Hop, Pop, jazz and RnB. Let’s start with the groovy soundscape crafted by G Zoom which is quite rich and layered with many engaging elements from groovy hiphop drums, smooth guitars, and soulful keys. Vocally Jenny Kwon definitely sounds at home over the alluring soundscape as she delivers a very expressive and enthralling vocal performance from start to finish.

Jenny’s bio:

Pursuing music was an easy and obvious choice for South Korean singer-songwriter, Jenny Kwon. Growing up in a household heavily influenced by all kinds of music-with her father being a professional opera singer, and her mother tuning pianos as a side job-opened up Kwon’s eyes to a world she would grow up to love chasing after. This young LA-based vocalist currently attends the Musicians Institute in Hollywood as a vocal performance major. Constantly writing songs for herself and other artists, Jenny is enthusiastic about collaborating with other artists and learning more about music everyday. She is heavily influenced by R&B and Pop artists like Emily King, Ariana Grande, and Mac Ayres.

G Zoom’s bio:

Born in Winchester, but based out of Los Angeles, Grayson Szumilas became Chillwave DJ and producer, G Zoom. Growing up in Maine, and with the passing of his mother, Szumilas needed an escape from all of the negativity happening in his life and the world around him. Once moved into Los Angeles, he went out to discover more influential sounds and applied them to his latest work. Ethereal soundscapes, driven bass, and the combination of ambient and hip hop can all be found in his hits such as “Celly Juke” and “Space Kool-Aid.” G Zoom went on to create music that doesn’t abide to the “standard” rules of electronic music—but rather breaks them in order to become its own unique and sensual experience that transports you into another realm.

Devin Burgess clears out the "Trash" [Album Stream] • Word Is Bond

Cincinnati based act Devin Burgess delivers a collection of songs that didn’t make his previous projects but were too solid to be thrown away completely. With a title like “Trash”, the project sure has a cheeky title but the content is far from it. From weekend bangers like “Bounce Back” to lyrical backbreaking cuts like “Faith Gawd Bless,” Burgess is able to rap in any environment, over any production. Even in the background of everything you’re hearing, there’s a lite love narrative going on in the background that reaches a head with “Anita & Amy“. What impresses most about “Trash” is that it plays like a well constructed and calculated album. He didn’t just grab a bunch of “dope” songs and slap a compilation album sticker on it. Devin Burgess proves that one man’s “Trash” can be another listener’s pleasure.

MANTA delivers a solid soothing soundscape on "So High" • Word Is Bond

London-based Irish musician and music producer MANTA shows just how versatile he is on his new material titled “So High”. The way he flipped the vocal sample alongside those thick drums and dreamy synths makes for a solid listen from start to finish. The producer explains the origins of the beat as follows  “This track started as a beat I made for a singer I was working with at the time. She was based out in LA and I, being London-based, was just churning out beats and sending them on to her. Some beats she used but the majority she didn’t, including this one.”

This is a prime example of when the rejected stone becomes the cornerstone. Hit the play button and get familiar real quick.
